Buenos dias de Buenos Aires

Eleven Devils reports live from the Argentinian capital this week, where Yer Correspondent and the wife are taking in the sights, watching hyperbolic Copa Libertadores broadcasts and eagerly awaiting Sunday´s match between River Plate and Lanus at El Monumental. (The very nice girl at our hotel apologized profusely for not getting us Boca Juniors tickets, but they´re playing away to Racing this weekend.)

Meanwhile, I´m anxiously awaiting the result from last night´s crucial Rivals Cup tie between my Albina Going FC Unicorns and UrbanHonking Athletic. And, of course, savoring the fact that my main man Jimmy Conrad was the hero of USA´s palate-cleansing 2-0 wipe out of the Ancient Enemy. Forza Conrad!

Oh, man. I'd be half-dead with jealousy if you had gotten Boca tickets. Hey, we gotta pick your brain some time about your trip...though the potential for a journey to the Southern Hemisphere is a couple of years away for us, Argentina's at the top of the list.

In the meantime, the River Plate game is live here on the Spanish language FOX Soccer. We'll look for you in the stands.
