There has been much speculation over the years about whether MLS teams might ever enter the Copa Libertadores. Based on the CL group-stage action I´ve seen so far during my visit to Argentina, I´d say the tournament should beg MLS to enter its top sides. Last night saw a Uruguayan club annihilate an Argentinian representative in a stadium that was 75 percent empty. Tonight, Boca Juniors and Bolivar played what may have been the single worst football game I´ve ever seen, a 0-0 draw in rainy La Paz occasionally spruced up by comic relief. An in-form Houston or DC could do just fine.
